One of the most urgently missed features in Google Wave is the option to remove persons from waves – but from yesterday to today Google seems to have rolled out their first incarnation of this functionality: The long time disabled remove button went active!
Removing a person from a wave doesn’t make that wave disappear from this person’s inbox – it merely disables the persons ability to modify the wave and more importantly to see updates in the wave after the removal. Google communicates the fact that you were removed from a wave in a rather prominent and noticeable way:
I don’t know if this is the final version of this feature although I really hope it’s not in some way – removing a person from a wave entirely without leaving a read-only prior version is something not only business scenarios could require.
P.S.: On a little sidenote – you can also remove yourself from a wave 🙂
Let’s just wait and see what comes with the next updates to Google Wave!
