As TheSEMPost showed in a post on Tuesday, Google is currently testing mobile-friendly tags in AdWords.
Regarding this, a Google spokesman meanwhile said they are only testing this and there are currently no plans to add this to AdWords ads. Nevertheless, PPC managers should have a close look at this and their mobile webpage. The new mobile-friendly tags have been much discussed in the past weeks and are being rolled out right now. Initially, they should only apply to the following:
- Affects only search rankings on mobile devices
- Affects search results in all languages globally
- Applies to individual pages, not entire websites
